Renewable Condition Report · Winter 2026

Generating doesn't mean performing.

When did anyone last look properly at your solar, battery or EV charging?

A Greentech Renewable Condition Report is a structured, evidenced condition assessment of renewable assets you already own, carried out on site and issued with a prioritised action plan.

Know what you own. Know its condition. Know what needs action.

Greentech Renewable Condition Report campaign creative

Every report is issued with Green, Amber and Red findings.

No alarm doesn't mean no problem.

Installed doesn't mean optimised.

Summer hides problems. Output is high, the plant is warm and dry, and small faults cost little. Everything changes once the season turns.

Two products, one standard

Choose the assessment that matches the site.

The same engineer, the same inspection method and the same report. The only difference is the size and complexity of what is being assessed.

Domestic

Winter Renewable Health Check

Fixed price. One property, one visit, one report.

  • Solar PV and inverter inspection
  • Battery assessment where installed
  • EV charging where included

Quoted per site. Multiple sites combined on one programme.

  • Everything in the domestic health check
  • Full scope across the installation
  • Multiple assets and inverters
  • Portfolio and multi-site programmes
  • Consistent scoring across sites

Final price depends on

Site size · Number of assets · Access requirements · System complexity

Launch pricing applies to bookings confirmed during the launch period and is subject to availability. Prices exclude VAT, which is charged at the prevailing rate. Scope and price are confirmed in writing before any visit.

What we assess

One visit. A complete picture of the plant.

An engineer attends site, checks the equipment that matters, records the evidence and tells you plainly what condition it is in.

Solar PV

Roof and ground-mounted arrays, existing or inherited.

Inverters and associated equipment

Inverter condition, alarms and associated electrical equipment.

Battery Storage

Where battery storage is installed and within scope.

EV Charging Infrastructure

Where charging infrastructure is included in the agreed scope.

Included in the agreed scope

  • Physical asset inspection
  • Solar PV condition assessment
  • Inverter inspection
  • Battery assessment where installed
  • EV charging infrastructure where included
  • Visible defects and deterioration
  • Photographic evidence
  • Condition and risk findings
  • Performance concerns where evidence supports them
  • Prioritised recommendations and clear next actions

Included items are agreed per site. Anything outside the agreed scope is stated in the report.

Why now

The cheapest fault is the one you find in November.

An inspection costs a fraction of an unplanned outage, and it is the only way to know what the plant is really doing.

Darker days

Generation falls away just as lighting and heating load rises. There is far less headroom to absorb a fault.

Poor weather

Rain, wind and frost work on seals, connectors and fixings. Winter is when a small weakness becomes an emergency call out.

Reduced generation

A failed string or heavy soiling is easy to miss in June and expensive to discover in January.

Battery working harder

Storage cycles every evening through winter. Capacity fade and ignored BMS alarms stop being theoretical.

Rising electricity costs

Every kWh you fail to generate or store costs more than it did last year. Finding losses is a direct saving.

Book the winter window and know the condition of your system before the short days do the work for you.

The report

A report you can hand to a board, a lender or an insurer.

Written for the people who own the asset, not for engineers. Every finding is tied to evidence and every recommendation has a reason.

What you receive

  • Asset overview and inspection record
  • Photographic evidence for each finding
  • Green / Amber / Red condition grading
  • Prioritised recommended actions
  • Clear next steps you can budget for

An RCR is a condition and asset-assurance assessment completed within the agreed scope. It is not automatically an electrical safety certificate, performance guarantee or warranty.

The pathway

Inspect. Assess. Report. Prioritise. Act.

  1. 01

    Inspect

The assets are physically inspected on site within the agreed scope.

  2. 02

    Assess

Observed condition, evidence and available records are reviewed together.

  3. 03

    Report

Findings, photographs and the inspection record are documented.

  4. 04

    Prioritise

Findings are presented as Green, Amber or Red with recommended actions.

  5. 05

    Act

You decide what happens next, from monitoring to remedial works.

Who it is for

If you own or manage the asset, the report is for you.

Greentech works with organisations and homeowners who hold existing renewable assets and need to know what condition they are in and what needs action, without waiting for a fault to force the question.

  • Commercial property owners
  • Facilities and estates teams
  • Property managers and factors
  • Asset managers
  • Landlords and managing agents
  • Industrial, manufacturing and logistics sites
  • Hotels, leisure and care groups
  • Homeowners with an existing installation

Questions

What owners ask before booking.

A structured condition assessment of the renewable energy assets on a site, carried out on site within an agreed scope and documented in a written report with evidence and prioritised recommendations.

Both are the same assessment method and the same report. The domestic Winter Renewable Health Check is a fixed £149 + VAT for one property and one visit. Commercial RCR work is quoted per site from £295 + VAT because scope, access and the number of assets vary.

£149 + VAT for one property, fixed and confirmed in writing before we attend. It covers the installed solar PV and inverter, plus battery storage or EV charging where present.

From £295 + VAT. The final figure depends on site size, number of assets, access requirements and system complexity. You receive a fixed quote before anything is booked.

Solar PV, inverters and associated equipment, battery storage systems and EV charging infrastructure. The assets included are confirmed in the agreed scope before the visit.

It depends on the size and number of assets. The length of visit is confirmed in the quotation so access and a host can be arranged.

Yes. Individual sites, or a portfolio on one programme with consistent scoring so assets can be compared and spend prioritised.

You are told in writing the same day, with any immediate control measure recorded. The report then documents it properly and the action plan sets out what happens next.

No. If remedial work is needed we can quote for it, and you are free to use your own contractor. The assessment is not conditional on winning the follow-on work.

Yes. The assessment is of the assets as they are found on site. We do not need to have installed the system, and the original installer does not need to be involved.

No. Monitoring data is used where access is available, but the assessment is carried out physically on site. Where monitoring is unavailable or access has been lost, that limitation is recorded in the report.

The site address, the assets present, the approximate system size, and any known history such as installation date, installer, monitoring access and previous inspections. Anything not supplied is confirmed during the site visit.

Yes. Observations are documented with evidence, and the report sets out prioritised recommendations so findings can be reviewed, budgeted and compared across sites.

No. A report records the condition of the assets and identifies what needs attention. It is not a performance guarantee, an energy-savings forecast or a warranty.

No. A Renewable Condition Report is a condition assessment of renewable energy assets. It does not replace an EICR, a statutory inspection, a manufacturer service or any warranty requirement.
